Memorial Day Weekend Music Fest in Simi Valley

Looking for a fun way to spend Memorial Day weekend?  If you’re in the Simi Valley area and love music, the 23rd Annual Simi Valley Cajun & Blues Music Festival makes its way to Rancho Santa Susana Community Park on Saturday, May 26th, & Sunday, May 27th, for two days of Zydeco heaven!  While music is the main focus of the Memorial Day Weekend Music Fest in Simi Valley, there is, of course, so much more!  You can dance along to the live musical performances, let the kids play in the kids area, find special arts and crafts for sale at on-site vendors and sample some delicious food throughout.

There is so much music to enjoy that it takes two stages to contain it all: the Blues Stage and the Cajun Creole Stage.  The musical line-up for Simi Valley’s Cajun & Blues Festival is as follows:


  • 11:30am – Paul Oscher
  • 12:45pm – RJ Mischo (featuring Rick Holmstrom)
  • 1:50pm – Terry Hanck
  • 2:55pm – The Mannish Boys (featuring special guests Smokin’ Joe Kubek & Bnois King, Marco Pandolfi, Jackie Payne, Kid Ramos, Jason Ricci and Paul Size
  • 5pm – Muddy Waters Tribute (featuring Bob Corritore, James Cotton, Johnny Dyer, Bob Margolin, Mud Morganfield, Darrell Nulisch, Paul Oscher and many more)
  • 6:45pm – Nathan James & The Rhythm Snatchers (featuring special guest James Harman)


  • 12pm – Billy Lee & The Swamp Critters
  • 1:30pm – Nathan Williams & The Zydeco Cha Cha’s
  • 3:05pm – Rosie Ledet and The Zydeco Playboys
  • 4:20pm – Mardi Gras Parade

General admission tickets are just $20 for adults (ages 13+), $15 for kids ages 5-12 and free for kids under 5.  Tickets can be purchased at the festival box office from 9am to 6pm or via TicketWeb (click here to visit TicketWeb’s website).  If you would like to purchase tickets in advance but don’t want to do so online, you can visit local Simi Valley branches of US Bank, Santa Barbara Bank & Trust, the Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce, center court of the Simi Valley Town Center Mall or Harley’s Simi Bowl.  For some family-friendly fun this Memorial Day weekend, go to the Simi Valley Cajun & Blues Festival.  Great music, good food and entertainment for all ages!
